Descendants of the Past, Ancestors of the Future to Premiere at Boston Asian American Film Festival

Corey Tow as Young Andrew7 Fluid Oz. Productions is happy to announce the world premiere of its newest production, Descendants of the Past, Ancestors of the Future. The short film, starring Golden Globe/Emmy/Drama Desk-nominee Tina Chen and the film’s writer-director, Albert M. Chan, will screen at the Boston Asian American Film Festival on Sunday, October 26, at 3:00 PM at the Paramount Center in Boston.

Actress Tina Chen, writer/director/actor Albert M. Chan, producer/editor Aaron Howland, and production designer/costume designer Alma Aron Baumwoll will be in attendance at the screening.

Prior to its world premiere, Descendants received three honorable mentions from the Asians on Film Festival (Spring, 2014) in the categories of Best Actress (Tina Chen), Best Actor (Albert M. Chan), and Best Original Score (Ryan Leach).

About Descendants of the Past, Ancestors of the Future

Descendants is the story of Andrew, whose wife will soon give birth to the couple’s first child. Before Andrew becomes a father, he decides to confront his mother and ask her how she and her own father (both Chinese immigrants) could spend most of their lives living apart.
