The Commitment Gets Indian Premiere at KASHISH Mumbai International Queer Film Festival

KASHISH - 4th Mumbai International Queer Film FestivalThe Commitment can add a fourth continent to its list of premieres after being accepted by the KASHISH Mumbai International Queer Film Festival. The Commitment will screen as part of the “Family Matters” session on Thursday, May 23, 2013, at 11:00 PM at the Cinemax in the Infiniti Mall in Mumbai.

The Commitment has already screened in North America and Europe, and will screen in Africa this June at the Durban Gay & Lesbian Film Festival.

The Commitment Takes Audience Award at SENE Film, Music & Arts Festival

Staff of the SENE Film, Music & Arts FestivalLast weekend, the SENE Film, Music & Arts Festival honored 7 Fluid Oz.’ recent production, The Commitment, with the festival’s Jury Award for Best LGBT Film. On May 2nd, SENE released its list of Audience Awards, and The Commitment once again won Best LGBT Film.

Alecia Batson, who plays a social worker in The Commitment, had two productions at the festival—The Commitment and Children of the Asylum. Children of the Asylum walked away with the Audience Award for Best Regional Short Film.

Actress Alecia Batson, who plays a social worker in the film, was on hand to accept the award.

In addition to The Commitment, Ms. Batson was at the event to represent another of her recent projects, Children of the Asylum.

DisOrient Asian American Film Festival of OregonThis Saturday, April 27, 2013, at 1:30 PM, the DisOrient Asian American Film Festival of Oregon will screen 7 Fluid Oz.’ award-winning short film, The Commitment, for free at the Bijou Art Cinemas in Eugene, Oregon.

The Commitment is part of DisOrient’s “Family Dramas” session, which is free to the public.

The Commitment to Screen at Little Rock Film Festival

Little Rock Film Festival Coming Soon7 Fluid Oz.’ award-winning production, The Commitment, will screen at the 2013 Little Rock Film Festival. The LRFF hasn’t released its final schedule, but the festival will run from May 15 to May 19, 2013.

This is the first Arkansas screening of The Commitment, and the first time that any of 7 Fluid Oz.’ work has been screened publicly in the state.
